Job Description:

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. is actively seeking an Operations Senior Supervisor to join our production team in Rochester, NY. Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, this newly added position plays a critical role maintaining production lines for our defense customer.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for production lines including SMT lines, board operations, radio builds.

  • Supervises 20-30 individuals typically consisting of support level employees (technicians or assemblers).

  • Provides day-to-day work direction for direct reports, focuses on maintaining steady workflow and productivity and resolving operational decisions.

  • Provides input on hiring, firing, promotion, performance and/or compensation decisions for direct reports.

  • Communicates with parties within and outside of own team, which may include customers or vendors.

  • Explains and interprets policies, practices, and procedures of the area of responsibility to others within the organization.

  • Plans and establishes operational objectives for a team within a clearly defined job area.

  • Delivers operational results that have some impact on the achievement of departmental results. Assigns tasks to a team to achieve operational targets, service standards, etc.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum 4 years prior relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience implementing continuous improvement to procedures and processes.

  • Experience with planning and establishing operational objectives for a team with some impact on department results.

  • Experience with basic supervisory and lean approaches.

  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools and Outlook.

    In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Washington State and New York State is $61,000 - $114,000. For California, Seattle and New York City, the salary range for this role is $73,500 - $136,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
