University of Rochester Adult Congenital Heart Center - Family Nurse Practitioner/Adult Gero - Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (No Pediatric Nurse ... in Rochester, New York

Responsibilities

Exceptional opportunity to join our rapidly growing Adult Congenital Heart Disease program and be part of a multidisciplinary team committed to delivering top-tier care to adults with congenital heart disease. The selected candidate will offer professional consultations and direct patient care in inpatient and outpatient settings, complying with a multidisciplinary care model and established protocols. Your duties will encompass the evaluation and management of acute and chronic cardiac conditions, execution and interpretation of diagnostic tests, meticulous maintenance of patient records, facilitation of specialist referrals, performance of office-based procedures, and delivery of education to patients and families, all aligned with our academic mission. We are searching for an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) with a strong passion for cardiology and a commitment to lifelong care. While prior experience in cardiology is preferred, it is not mandatory. Essential qualifications include outstanding communication and organizational skills and proficiency in essential computer software such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc. Required credentials include NYS NP/PA certification, National NP board certification, BLS, and ACLS. New hires will benefit from a comprehensive educational program and a thorough onboarding process. The APP will participate in the education of learners (students and new employees), using clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing and skill training.

Qualifications

Nurse Practitioner

Require a Master’s degree (or pending) as a Nurse Practitioner, an active New York State Registered Nurse license in good standing, an active/pending New York State Nurse Practitioner licensure in good standing and current/pending national certification as an Nurse Practitioner.

Physician Assistant

Requires completion (or pending) of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant program, an active/pending New York State Physician Assistant licensure in good standing and current/pending national certification as a Physician Assistant by the NCCPA ( National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants)

NPs and PAs will demonstrate clinical competence, superior verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal effectiveness and customer relations skills, computer competence and must have an active desire to learn. The APP will participate in the education of learners (students and new employees), using clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing and skill training.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $44.71 - $67.07

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
