Responsibilities

New grads and experienced technologists are both encouraged to apply.

Prepares and administers radioactive isotopes producing images that physicians use in diagnosing disease. Works directly with patients in a variety of medical settings, such as hospitals, outpatient clinics, and surgery. Respects the modesty and confidentiality of their patients and deals with hostile and demanding patients in a mature manner. May be required to work on-call shifts including holidays and weekends.

Qualifications

Must have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and be a graduate of an accredited nuclear medicine technology program. Demonstrate flexibility in response to varying workloads required.

License or Certification

Must be registered as a certified nuclear medicine technologist (CNMT) with the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and maintain current licensure. If position requires rotations to PET, must be registered with the NMTCB as a Positron Emission Tomography technologist or obtain certification within two years of employment, and maintain current licensure. CPR/BLS Certified or obtained within 90 days of employment.

Schedule Details

Must be flexible to work varied hours, dependent upon patient demand. Scheduled shifts are currently Monday-Friday, 8 or 10 hours per shift. This position would be working in PET, so the employee would be expected to get their PET certification within 18 months from their start date.

Weekend Schedule

This position may include rotating to multiple work areas, including evening, weekend, and holiday hours.
