Summary: Performs skilled electrical work in the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical equipment and systems. Responsibilities: *Perform preventative maintenance as required *Support repairing and troubleshooting automated equipment as needed *Under direction of experienced employee or vendor, modify circuits and other electrical equipment *Troubleshoot ladder logic controls on various platforms *Troubleshoot Building Control Circuits *Work in the maintenance and testing of electrical equipment *Provide hands-on training to support staff and new hires on facilities processes and responsibilities *Initiate and perform preventative maintenance as required on a wide variety of electrical power equipment *Modify circuits and other electrical equipment *Program and troubleshoot ladder logic controls on various platforms *Program and troubleshoot Building Control Circuits *Perform continuous improvement projects - project layout *Oversee sub-contractors in the related electrical field *All employees are responsible for the Quality of their work to ensure BEI meets, or exceeds Customer Satisfaction. Other information: *Competent PLC experience *Demonstrated mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities; show initiative and drive *Proficient with hand-held mechanical and powered tools, HVAC machinery, test equipment, etc. *Ability to read, write and interpret wiring and blue print diagrams *Effective organization and prioritization skills *Effective interpersonal skills *Proven ability to complete projects in a timely manner *Ability to work overtime as needed *Ability to support a 24/7 global business operation as required *Ability to demonstrate discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism when representing the company *Excellent written and verbal communication skills *Ability to work well individually or in teams *Demonstrated ability to work effectively with suppliers *Understanding of and ability to use continuous improvement tools *Available for travel up to 10% of the time, including day and/or overnight travel as required *Participate in a continuous improvement activity *See job analysis forms for specific physical stressors of the job *Proficient in the maintenance and testing of electrical equipment *Understanding of local NEC and NFPA codes as they apply to the electrical field and building industry *Proficient PLC experience *Proficient undertaking a project - including leadership/ownership *Require little supervision for completion of tasks Education: * High School Diploma or GED; 5+ years of Journeyman level experience; Ability to perform more complex electrical work with limited guidance.
