The Opportunity: Our Rochester branch is looking for a full time Assistant Branch Manager to join their team. In this role, the Assistant Branch Manager will assist in the efficient operation of the branch by actively participating as part of the leadership team. Supervise and coach the cash and platform staff through the sales process while serving as a role model by giving exemplary service to our members. Provide back-up to the Cash Operations/Vault Teller to ensure the smooth and orderly operation of the cash area and related functions. Participate in the skill based development program.

What You'll Do:

Coach branch staff to achieve sales and service performance goals. Serve as primary resource for in-depth product knowledge to staff members. Ensure compliance with credit union procedures and make exceptions when necessary. Suggest and promote creative ideas to increase sales productivity. Approve transactions within authority. Make decisions according to policy and procedure. Promote and communicate financial opportunities and refer interested members while maintaining quality standards. Resolve member disputes and handle difficult situations before they escalate. Schedule cash and platform staff for efficient branch coverage. Write and administer performance reviews, as required. Contribute to branch sales goals. Assist in the efficient operations of the branch. Perform onboarding and training of new employees. Maintain product knowledge to efficiently service members. Plan and conduct branch sales meetings, as requested. Assist branch staff with transactions and procedures when needed. Perform cash duties, as required. Maintain knowledge of credit union consumer loan policies and procedures. Oversee the complete loan process within the branch. Provide notary and signature guarantee services. Actively promote and participate in the Branch Team Development program. Interpret and act on information in management reports. Supervise branch staff in the absence of management (3-23 employees). Saturday hours required. Flexible work schedule. Additional training and meeting times required, travel may be required. What You'll Need:

High school diploma or equivalent. Two years supervisory experience in a financial institution. Demonstrated ability to effectively coach staff to achieve performance goals. Sales experience in a financial environment. Ability and desire to advance in branch leadership. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent interpersonal skills, including effective verbal and written communication. Computer literate. Consistent positive, cooperative, self-motivated, courteous and professional attitude. Ability to verbally communicate appropriately with others, and appropriately respond to a supervisor. Demonstrated ability to multi-task. Demonstrated ability to function as a team leader. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and set priorities. Ability and willingness to work at any of our branch offices.
