We are looking for a Sr. Account Manager (ACG) who is responsible for providing leadership, management, and sales excellence to the Automotive Components Group’s Japanese tier account team and customers, in line with the ACG strategy and growth objectives. You will draw upon your ability to analyze business situations and develop solutions to gain FAC bookings, as well as develop and manage team goals that ensure customer needs are understood and ensure that FAC is selected as the preferred supplier for the application. Day to day interface with support resources, as well as daily interface with direct end users/customers and FAC ASI customers to grow the market share will be required to be successful.

You will draw on your abilities as a skilled communicator, a strategic and analytical mindset, and apply top leadership principles and styles in your management duties. Are you adept in automation and robotics, as well as strategic selling, specifically to Japanese Tier Automotive customers? If so, we want you!

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Manage all sales activities to Automotive Component accounts to meet or exceed yearly established targets in units, revenue, and gross profit

  • Drive for continued growth and development of end user customers and ASI/Integrators that can help achieve FAC targets

  • Being a leader, capable of mentoring other account managers to enrich the performance of the team

  • Develop relationships with key personnel within Headquarters and Plants to influence sales

  • Communicate with customers for a clear understanding of the FAC and competitive advantages

  • Manage negotiations for a successful sales outcome on for of FANUC Americas

  • Identify, support, and help to coordinate regional trade shows and open houses as requested

  • Lead the development and collection of accurate sales forecast, monthly robot orders and market trends

  • Provide timely and consistent feedback and input to the Regional Director

  • Extensive travel is expected

    Ideal candidate will have the following experience and education:

  • High School Diploma or GED Required

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or related field; or equivalent relevant experience

  • 5+ years of selling experience in capital equipment environment

  • Established record in developing and growing customer base (end users and ASIs)

  • Interpersonal skills for internal and external resource management (i.e., conflict negotiations)

  • Native Japanese speaker (critical for communication to customers and FANUC)

  • Master’s degree in engineering or business preferred

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in selling in capital equipment environment preferred
