The Payroll Lead is responsible for the entire lifecycle of payroll, including all deductions and taxes, for all FANUC America Corporation employees and is the primary contact for all employee payroll inquires.Â

 Primary responsibilities will include:Â

  • Prepares, processes, and validates payroll for all US and Canadian employees to ensure an accurate and timely payroll.

  • Review and verify timesheets, wage computations and other variable data to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies. Â

  • Leads all matters related to payroll taxation, including federal, state, and local municipalities as well as coordinate filings with Finance and external vendors.

  • Process special payrolls such as bonuses, incentives, and year-end adjustments.

  • Acts as the primary point of contact for employees regarding any payroll questions and issues, providing prompt and accurate responses.

  • Supports HRIS data for US and Canada and Mexico and South America, as applicable.

  • Completes year-end payroll processing, including W-2, T-4, audits, and reconciliations.

  • Coordinates payroll reporting and provides data and supports all audits.

  • Processes all payroll reimbursement requests, including but not limited to general expenses, motus, etc.

  • Consults with global mobility partner on matters pertaining to payroll, tax, social security, relocation support, housing, cost of living, tax equalization, equity and immigration requirements and their impact upon international compensation and benefits.

  • Completes special payroll calculations, such as requests for expat gross-ups and non-qualified benefit tax applications.

  • Supports funding of retirement plans (US and Canada), flexible saving/spending accounts, etc.

  • Troubleshoots any interfaces and system issues related to payroll.

  • Perform other duties as assigned and support other positions within the team.

  • Develops, implements, and updates policies and procedures related to payroll processing.

  • Maintains knowledge of current regulations, best practices, and trends in payroll and taxation.

    Ideal candidate will have the following experience and education:

  • High School Diploma or GED Required

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience

  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional experience, preferably in a payroll or finance role preferred

  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably with experience in the lifecycle of payroll, preferably with ADP.

  • Advanced knowledge of payroll-related taxes and laws with excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly explain payroll situations in easily understood terms.

  • Ability to handle very sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

  • Knowledge of pertinent state and federal regulations regarding payroll and taxes.

  • Ability to understand and continually improve business processes and systems.

  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills as well as strong attention to detail.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills, to effectively interact at all levels of the organization and with external customers/vendors.
