Sales Account Executive III - Remote - PS14595

Responsible for the identification, development and sale of new business Student Health medical plans to various size colleges & universities in assigned markets. Provides leadership and subject market expertise, to internal colleagues and mentorship to Student Health colleagues in with less experience.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing and maintaining effective relationships with leading health care consultants, brokers, and College – University staff throughout the assigned markets

  • Implement strategies necessary to attain sales objectives in assigned states

  • Manages complex negotiations

  • Position specialty products, rate levels, and expanded product portfolios to increase sales and maximize revenue

  • Provides effective presentations to Anthem constituents

  • Actively participates in sales team meetings focused on RFP pipeline management, target prospects and producer firm activities

  • Work with internal/external client services & implementation teams to properly implement and maintain College/University client satisfaction

  • Participate in on and off campus educational events to educate students, parents, and college/university about Anthem Student product offerings

  • Identifies various ways to partner with the client by drawing from entire spectrum of product line

  • Gain understanding of client’s multifaceted needs and recommends appropriate benefits of Anthems full product array (e.g., fully vs. self-insured, combination of products and/or covers a range of industries)

  • Work with internal colleagues on new product development

  • Requires a BA/BS

  • 5+ year’s industry experience in student health insurance and/or specialty sales; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background

  • Requires a Current Health and Life Agent License with Department(s) of Insurance
