Job Description

HII - Mission Technologies is seeking an Administrative Assistant I supporting our front office in Roanoke, VA. As an administrative professional, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our organization. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask will be essential in supporting our team and maintaining our daily operations. We are seeking a dedicated and reliable individual who is committed to providing exceptional administrative support and contributing to the success of our organization.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • The full-time staff will work 08:00am-05:00pm Monday - Friday.

  • This position will require the candidate to cover the front desk and perform various other administrative tasks in support of daily office operations.

  • Greet visitors and assist them in processing through the visitor identification and badging process according to standard operating procedures.

  • Work with visitor sponsors/coordinators to prepare visitor badges and other actions as required to provide superior customer service.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and possess excellent organizational skills.

  • Must have a professional appearance and demeanor and be able to effectively interface with customers and staff.

  • Receive and disseminate incoming mail, packages, order office/meeting supplies and maintain office space organized.

  • Monitor and escort outside personnel entering the facility to ensure they are authorized and display proper identification.

  • Occasional overtime may be assigned to support special events.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1-2 years experience supporting an office in an administrative assistant role.

  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite is required as well as the ability/willingness to learn new software

  • Accomplish required annual training (e.g. IT security awareness) and maintain certificates, as appropriate.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and timely attendance are required.

  • Ability to obtain a TS clearance.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 0 years experience.

Preferred Requirements

  • 1-2 years experience supporting an office in an administrative assistant role.

Physical Requirements

Job performance will normally require only minor lifting and carrying of boxes of records or equipment.
