GE Vernova Technician - On Site Specialist in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Job Description Summary

A solid technical experience is required to perform services and maintenance activities on customers' site. These activities contribute to, maintain, repair and refurbish sold or existing products. Includes all types of maintenance service (preventive and remedial), manage maintenance facilities and support field services engineering. Accountable for the EHS & quality of own work. Subject to direct operations supervision/prescribed work instructions/systems checking.

The Technician - On Site Specialist must be able & manage the work sometimes under pressure of customer/end user. Most of the time he will work out of the city away from his station which he has to manage smoothly.

In line with Saudization requirements preference will be given to qualified Saudi nationals.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Understanding of safety importance at site Perform LOTO operations according to GE & Customer safety regulations.

  • Understand the site Safety, Quality, and Productivity to implement all GE EHS rules for Continuous Improvement

  • Hands on work experience E&C of 230 & 380 KV substation.

  • Knowledge of GIS & AIS switch gears, Electrical panels.

  • Perform troubling shooting and repair of Electrical live substations etc.

  • Understanding and executing the repairing & preventive maintenance.

  • Able to read the electrical and mechanical drawings and diagnosis the issues in equipment.

  • Perform scheduled of preventative maintenance of substations.

  • Maintaining back-office reporting, test reports and maintaining customer documentations at site.

  • Co-coordination with OEM (factories) for unsolved repair problems NC.

  • Provide technical assistance as needed for the installation or pre-arrangement of projects.

  • Performed all duties as part of a team or as site lead to allocate the responsibilities to site team.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have Electrical engineer degree or 3 years Diploma in electrical technology & register in Saudi Engineering council.

  • During the Service GE will provide assignments, projects & tasks that is related to his major where he can develop his Leadership Capabilities, communication skills and introduce him to the work environment.

  • Proficiency in English and Arabic speaking is preferable.

  • Experienced as good user of laptop & good in Microsoft office, mails corresponding etc.
