Parsons Corporation Senior Logistics Engineer in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Logistics Engineer to join our team! The position is primarily a site-based role with key responsibilities being the location, preparation and maintenance of laydown areas, access points and site roads. Experience of supervising construction logistics operations is essential. Independent travel and work across a variety of different construction site locations will be required.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Understands the overall site logistics requirements for each contractor and facilitates coordination between contractors.

  • Supports the project to achieve construction delivery objectives through the sound implementation of logistics planning.

  • Provides reports and communicates presentations to management relating to existing, emerging or changing logistics planning.

  • Configuration management of logistics facilities and services, taking actions where existing plans are found to be ineffective or in need of improvement.

  • Supports the Laydown Area Access Request (LAAR) process for new logistics plot requirements or changes to existing land plot requirements.

  • Supervises mitigation action where there is contractor non-compliance against their Logistics Plan or Traffic Management Plan or where the approved plan is not effective under the conditions; provides escalation through the delivery team management where required.

  • Provides continuous improvement on logistics planning and effective implementation through proactive dialogue with contractors and with management.

  • Provides input to CAD designers and drafters working on the same subject.

  • Completes other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or construction-related field, or equivalent construction-related work experience 10 + years of directly related Logistics experience. Familiarity with the use of a personal computer and software typically used in engineering, is also preferred.

  • A valid GCC or relevant international driving license is essential. The candidate will be expected to acquire a KSA driving license in due course.
