Danaher Corporation Finished Goods Planner in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Position Summary

The FG Planner is responsible for managing the planning process and ensuring optimal inventory and OTD to Leica Biosystems customers by following Danaher quality standards and best practices.

Major Responsibilities

Forecasting

  • Assemble and analyze all data pertinent to creating the sales forecast (historical sales, market trends etc.)

  • Conduct current and future forecasting analysis.

  • Utilize best methods in creating forecasts and respective inventory targets.

  • Coordinates and recommends adjustments to forecast and inventory targets based on changes in demand and market trends.

Inventory Management

  • Ensures adequate supply of products to service customer needs.

  • Optimize working inventory by assessing demand activity.

  • Manage inventory targets (including safety stock levels) that are approved by management.

  • Work closely with the US distribution centers and other European locations to fulfill internal replenishments, in accordance to determined customer dating.

  • Develop inventory management plans to support projects.

  • ETA update and Daily OTD analysis and stock out reviews

  • Short shelf-life items analysis and working on sub-inventories.

  • Follow up on in transits.

  • Conducts analysis on low supply hold, excess and slow-moving items, and potential scraps.

  • Identify potential product shortages, develop and execute recovery, advise interested parties of status and recovery plans.

  • Maintain and update master files (items, vendors etc.)

  • Constant interaction with sales and assessment of demand requirements

  • Provide reports and requested information to management as needed.

Required Education, Experience, Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent experience

  • Three plus years of planning experience

  • Business background with a robust understanding of supply chain, planning, forecasting

  • Strong knowledge of finished goods planning process within the medical Industry

  • Experience using ERP systems preferably Oracle.

  • Extensive spreadsheet analysis and strong mathematical abilities

  • Knowledge of key inventory performance metrics, turns, margin contributions, etc.

  • Good understanding of replenishment processes

  • Good understanding of dealing with the complexities of multiple items and multiple locations and different transport modes
