Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Dur Hospitality Company SJSC. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. JOB SUMMARY

As the cornerstone of the Food & Beverage Department, the Assistant Food and Beverage Manager oversees all operational, administrative, and leadership tasks within the department. This role is directly responsible for the success of the hotel's dining outlets, catering services, and banquet operations. The Manager ensures excellence in service delivery, financial performance, compliance with health and safety standards, and customer satisfaction. This comprehensive position demands innovation in menu development, strategic planning to achieve departmental KPIs, and effective team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Comprehensive Operational Leadership:

• Strategically manage and oversee the hotel's dining outlets, ensuring each venue meets the highest standards of quality and service.

• Lead the catering and banquet services, coordinating with event planners and clients to deliver exceptional experiences for meetings, weddings, and other events.

• Develop and implement operational strategies for all food and beverage services, aiming for operational excellence and consistency across all offerings.

Financial Management and Strategic Planning:

• Monitor financial performance, including revenue and expenditure, to ensure the profitability of all food and beverage operations, including dining outlets, catering, and banquet services.

• Conduct menu engineering and pricing strategies to maximize revenue while maintaining competitive market positioning and customer satisfaction.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

• Ensure all food and beverage services comply with health and safety regulations, maintaining HACCP certification standards and striving for ISO 22000 compliance.

• Oversee the maintenance of cleanliness and hygiene in all areas, ensuring readiness for inspections and adherence to food safety standards.

Team Development and Leadership:

• Direct the recruitment, training, and professional development of the food and beverage team, creating a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

• Lead by example, providing mentorship and guidance to staff across all levels of the Food & Beverage department.

Innovation and Customer Satisfaction:

• Foster an environment of creativity and innovation within the team, encouraging the development of new and exciting dining concepts, catering options, and banquet themes.

• Actively seek guest feedback, adapting offerings and services to meet evolving preferences, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Culinary Arts, or related field.

• HACCP certification and knowledge of ISO 22000 preferred.

• Proven experience managing dining outlets, catering, and banquet services in a hospitality setting.

• Strong leadership abilities with experience in team development and financial management.

• Excellent organizational, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.

• Innovative and creative with a commitment to high-quality service and food safety standards.

• Effective communicator, capable of working flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
