East Bay Community Action Program Emergency Services/Brief Treatment Clinician in Riverside, Rhode Island

East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) is seeking a full time Emergency Services Clinician/Brief Treatment Clinician for our Bullocks location in Riverside, RI. The Clinician will provide emergency and crisis intervention services including, but not limited to; assessment, coordination and integration of care.

  1. Provide group, individual and family therapy to clients as required.
  2. Participate in crisis response services providing risk assessment, crisis intervention, stabilization and counseling, and assessment for hospitalization in the office and community.
  3. Triage crisis calls from individuals/families and referrals from organizations such as, police departments, or schools conducting face to face assessments.
  4. Provide integrated behavioral health services including emergency services, crisis stabilization, opiate triage, harm reduction, and outreach/engagement for referrals.
  5. Conduct diagnostic assessments for all behavioral health sites including initial intakes and on-going crisis stabilization sessions.
  6. Provide treatment that is compliant with State, Federal, licensing, and JCAHO standards.
  7. Actively participate in team communication and consultation on difficult case reviews.
  8. Adhere to the Centers published standards for clinical paperwork submission.
  9. Participate in ongoing quality improvement efforts. Represent the organization at various community education and/or awareness meetings.
  10. Participate in organizational committees and/or workgroups as assigned.
  11. Participate in supervision, ensuring the process of quality assurance. Keep supervisor informed of significant information during regular supervision or on an ad-hoc basis.

Masters Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or other related social services field. Licensed at the independent practice level as defined by the Rhode Island Department of Health (LICSW, LMHC, PhD). Two (2) to five (5) years post-graduate clinical experience in crisis intervention. Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English. Must have a valid drivers license/automobile insurance due to the amount of required community travel.
