Job Description Summary

At Avio Aero, a GE Aerospace Business unit, we’ve been reimagining the power of flight for more than 100 years. We are specialized in the design, production and maintenance of components and systems for both the civil and military aviation.

In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects (planning, forecasting, budgeting, and production releases) of the successful delivery of digital products or services for the Avio Aero Engineering team throughout the entire product lifecycle. The main focus will be on military programs, delivering digital solutions that will enable the Avio Aero Engineering team to create, manage and consume restricted and non-restricted data across the entire lifecycle of the products.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Define Digital Product Vision and Roadmap

  • Support for Data Risk and Security task

  • Apply proper project management methodologies, including the Agile one and the Scrum framework, to deliver solutions on time and on cost

  • Track and monitor project status and metrics to ensure milestones are met, and internal and external delivery commitments are met

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver features and significant product enhancements and to ensure that project deliverables are coordinated with corresponding deliverables from other organizations

  • Prioritize continuously in accordance with the understanding and validation of customer problems and needs

  • Demonstrate superior persuasion and influencing skills that ensure alignment between customer, product manager and development teams

  • Demonstrate strategic-level skills in problem solving, ability to navigate through ambiguity and capability to make recommendations for improvements to existing processes

  • Drive dialogues that produce new perspectives and substantial innovation, enhancements and analysis of consequences

  • Support the definition and implementation of processes for coordination and communication between organizations and with GE stakeholders

Qualification/Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/ Engineering or related discipline

  • Previous and strong work experience in similar role (i.e.Digital Project/Product Manager)

  • Demonstrated industry or research experience on PLM-related projects, covering different CAx (i.e. CAD/CAM/CAE/CAT) data types

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in geographically sparse cross-functional teams

  • Able to resolve conflicting opinions through consensus

  • Able to ensure group understanding of issues and to present rationale to affect outcomes

  • Fluent Italian and English language

  • Work Visa and Italian citizenship, in accordance with local regulation, is required

Desired Characteristics

  • Expertise on data governance in the PLM and CAx domain, in particular related to International Trade Compliance, IP protection and levels of military classification

  • Able to adjust communication (e.g. level of complexity) and story to align with audience, to use relevant and appropriate presentation techniques, to respond to questions and to dissent in a constructive manner

  • Ability to use appropriate facilitation techniques to gain agreement or move others to action
