Job Description Summary

At Avio Aero, a GE Aerospace Company, we’ve been reimagining the power of flight for more than 100 years. We are specialized in the design, production and maintenance of components and systems for both the civil and military aviation.

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for defined work or projects with increasing complexity level. In this role you will follow an individual work plan, meet day-to-day short-term objectives, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning. You will be requested to understand and develop technical concepts, methods, and procedures in order to define the manufacturing processes of aeronautic gearboxes.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Define and control production process including tooling and equipment

  • Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment

  • Execute routine analyses using vested methods and technologies and/or contributes to technological developments in teams under supervision

  • Work together with people from the business unit

  • Contacts are under guidance and/or geared towards collecting or giving technical information

  • Work within a team setting and/or under guidance

  • Alternatively: executing routine but complex analysis

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other faculty within the Industrial Engineering family

  • Previous experience in a similar role in complex industrial context

  • Knowledge of metal machining technologies

  • Ability to read technical drawings and specifications

  • Fluent English and Italian, oral and written

  • Work Visa in accordance with local regulation is required
