A Planetary Geared stamping and bending technology company is currently seeking to hire a Journeyman Tool and Die Maker. The candidate performs duties to construct, alter, and repair a variety of dies, tools, jigs and other fixtures, and performs ordinary tool room machine operations at a Journeyman Level 1st shift, in Ringwood IL. Monday- Friday, 7am-3:30pm

  • Construct, alter, repair a variety of dies, tools, jigs, and other fixtures to close tolerances as required to fit assemble parts per print

  • Participate as assigned in all phases of die-making projects from start to finish, including milling, grinding, polishing, and assembly.

  • Build and troubleshoot new tooling per design requirements.

  • Preform change overs

  • using precision tools, hand and power tools.

  • Knowledge of tolerance and shop mathematics
