Job Overview

The Plant Quality Manager is a key leadership role responsible for Customer Complaint Management, ISO/IATF Quality Systems Management, Production Quality and Inspection Activities, Problem Solving through Root Cause Analysis, Quality Improvement Project Involvement, Quality Systems and Metrics Reporting and Presentations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsibility for leading the voice of the customer in product quality, safety, integrity while providing extraordinary service levels to exceed customer expectation

• Lead quality team to achieve site quality goals, such as customer and internal PPM, Cost of Poor Quality, customer complaints and intercompany complaints quality and response time, material quality blocks and holds

• Provide cross-functional quality leadership

• Develop skills of quality team and others with expected quality responsibilities in the organization

• Specify and provide training on in-process quality requirements for manufacturing personnel

• Interface with Engineering, Customer Care, Operations, 3rd party auditors, suppliers and customers

• Maintain compliance of Quality Systems according to ISO 9001 & IATF16949, TE internal policies and/or other relevant regulations,

• Responsible for plant Quality Management System

• Site lead for QMSs certifications

• Responsible for internal audits

• Develop and execute tactical plans to achieve overall quality KPIs.

• Develop quality standards, processes, and procedures

• Provide technical guidance and implementation of quality tools, methods, and processes

• Manage corrective and preventive action process

• Identify opportunities for, and drive continuous improvement of project related to quality KPIs

• Monitor performance of quality control systems to ensure effectiveness and efficiency

• Lead material review board in management of non-conforming material

• Oversee incoming inspection of materials

• Collect, analyze and report key quality metrics

• Prepare and report quality metrics to management – leadership team

• Ensure maintenance of all quality records

• Resolve customer complaints through disciplined and effective problem solving

• Ensure the highest level of Ethics and Integrity across the assignment

What your background should look like:

• Minimum 5 years of quality management experience in automotive environment (IATF 16949), focus area manufacturing, engineering and supply chain

• Strong demonstrated communication, negotiation, influencing, collaboration and team building skills

• University degree, bachelore or equivalent level of qualification in technical / engineering disciplines

• Good verbal and written communication and presentation skills in English

• Strong background in Root cause analysis, Six Sigma degree is preferable

• Good knowledge of core tools Process Flow, FMEA, PPAP, Control Plan, MSA, SPC and other tools

• Advanced knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office, SAP advantage

• Able to travel up to 15%
