Dave & Matt Vans CNC MACHINE OPERATOR in Rifle, Colorado

Who are you? You have a passion for building and crafting quality products. You are interested in van conversions and learning the process of efficiently manufacturing our vans' component parts with consistency and accuracy. You have experience with CNC machining and want to develop both your millwork and assembly skills. You think before immediate action and understand how your decisions impact your team and collective goals. You are proactive with your time and identify priorities when time is available.

Role Overview This position is responsible for CNC operation, associated duties, and contributing as needed to meet the goals of the CNC/Assembly shop. Primarily, this position produces the millwork components used in the production of our Lifestyle Vehicles.

Essential Functions - Operate the CNC machine to the standards set by the CNC Lead and Shop Manager. - Load sheet material and unload cut parts efficiently and carefully. - Replace and calibrate tooling as needed, track and report use to CNC Lead. - Assist in machine maintenance and upkeep as needed. - Accurately track orders and priority, cut corresponding files, log progress. - Inspect cut parts for quality standards and assist in shop-wide quality control. - Communicate with CNC Lead & Shop Manager to coordinate orders and changes. - Assist with the finishing of parts and building of assemblies as needed. - Abide by all shop safety and workplace standards.

Ideal Experience - Manufacturing or trade experience preferred (construction, carpentry, millwork, etc.) - Previous CNC operation, preferably in a professional setting. - Basic computer skills, CAD or CAM knowledge are a plus. - Ability and comfort with quick math and geometry.

Core Traits - Organized with a strong attention to detail. - Analytical with an ability to think several steps ahead. - Collaborative, willing to speak up and also take in feedback . - Adaptable, eager to develop new skills and assist the team efforts as needed.

Physical Requirements - Must be comfortable working with a variety of power tools and equipment. - Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move 70+ pounds regularly. - Must be able to work in a warehouse environment and able to work on concrete floors. - Exposure to warehouse and manufacturing noise, including power tools and machinery.
