BR&T is seeking high performing, collaborative Composite Engineers (Associate, Mid-Level or Senior) to join our Composite Materials Fabrication Site in Ridley Park, Pennsylvania.

This role will primarily support the manufacturing of the CH-47 rotor blade as well as other structural components to the CH-47 airframe. There will be additional shop floor support including build process, Root Cause Correction Action (RCCA) and Materials Review Board (MRB) authorization. We are seeking a qualified candidate that has experience with composite bonding who will work with shop floor technicians / mechanics helping them build parts for the CH-47. This individual also needs to understand the fundamentals of materials properties and how they perform. This position is very hands-on and involves critical thinking to resolve issues.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assists with definition of requirements for tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes used in the engineering design, manufacture and/or maintenance of Boeing products

  • Drafts engineering specifications and other documents to manage the deployment of tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes

  • Assists in evaluation of emerging technologies for potential application to business needs

  • Assists with development and qualification of new tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes to meet requirements

  • Performs routine tests and audits to qualify suppliers to applicable requirements

  • Conducts routine analysis to determine performance or reasons for failures of tools, materials, parts or processes

  • Assists in implementing corrective and preventive actions

  • Develops computer and production systems to satisfy user requirements

  • Uses project management tools to meet cost, technical, and schedule requirements

  • Incorporates environmental health and safety, LEAN and Quality principles into (1) materials and processes, (2) research, design and qualification, (3) work procedures and (4) labs and office areas

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 5+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 1+ years’ experience working in a composite materials laboratory

  • Experience with composite and elastomers and associated processing techniques

  • Experience with adhesive materials (such as epoxy, urethane, polyimide, reinforcements, etc) and processes

  • Experience with composite and elastomer failure modes (structural and nonstructural) and analysis for materials, processes and parts

  • Experience reading drawings and using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, etc.)

Typical Education/Experience:

Associate (Level 2)

Bachelor's degree and typically 2 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Mid-Level (Level 3)

Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Senior (Level 4)

Bachelor's degree and typically 9 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 7 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years' experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range for associate level: $82,450 – $111,500

Summary pay range for mid-level: $102,000 – $138,000

Summary pay range for senior level: $124,950 – $169,050
