Adecco Permanent Recruitment is currently seeking a full time, direct hire Pre-Release Therapist in Richmond, VA. This is for a full time role within a new but proven program, assisting incarcerated individuals prepare for release. Requirements:
Master's degree in counseling, social work, behavioral health, or related field
Independent clinical license
3-5 years of experience working in mental health and substance use disorders
Familiarity with and endorsement of 12 step program
Ability to pass DOC security clearance
Driver's license
CPR / Adult First Aid certification preferred
Job duties:
Facilitating excellent participant programming:
Conducting impactful group sessions with participants within a correctional facility
Providing frequent, supportive communications to participants
Preparing for sessions in advance to maximize effectiveness of interactions
Evaluating participant progress and support needed
Upholding the quality and fidelity of Concordance Re-entry Model curriculum when delivering group sessions
Building a bond of trust with participants to ensure smooth transition to post-release services
Communicating with multi-disciplinary care team and external stakeholders:
Documenting sessions in electronic record system, including noteworthy participant interactions
Working collaboratively with participants' care teams, providing input on progress and flagging holistic participant needs
When working within a correctional center, building strong, professional, positive relationships with prison staff and administration
Participating in internal meetings (Behavioral Health and Wellness team meetings, All Team meetings, 1:1 supervisor meetings, and training sessions)
Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year
