ASHLAND, RICHMOND, TIDEWATER, VA BEACH and surrounding vicinity positions available.

A Werres Corporation Industrial Equipment Mechanic works at customer site in a shop environment. Responsible for troubleshooting electro-mechanical problems, installations, and performing unscheduled repairs and scheduled maintenance on forklift/equipment.

Skills, personal characteristics:

  • Mechanical / electrical aptitude
  • Effectively use volt, ohm and multimeters, operate personal hand tools, grinders, pressers, forklift, hoists, overhead cranes
  • Read and interpret schematics and manuals
  • Customer focused, professional communication skills
  • Work independently as well as a team member
  • Sense of urgency with commitment to achieving success
  • Working knowledge of personal computers, familiarity with cell phone, internet and email functions. Must be able to enter data accurately.
  • Good driving record

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze breakdowns of customer equipment.
  • Recommend action to correct
  • Complete major repairs and overhaul industrial forklift equipment
  • Perform scheduled maintenance on forklift / industrial equipment
  • Provide superior customer service

Training:

Training provided to become a Raymond Certified Technician from Basic Certified, Level 1, Level 2, and Master Certified.
