General Summary:Under general supervision, responsible for operating, repairing, maintaining HVAC systems, control systems, and associated equipment in Commission owned buildings.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on all Commission owned HVAC equipment. Including Chillers, Boilers, Cooling Towers, Air Handlers, Roof Top Units and associated equipment.
  • Inspect all major HVAC equipment on a daily basis to ensure proper operation.
  • Maintains proper and efficient operation of HVAC equipment to ensure a comfortable climate throughout the Terminal and other Commission owned buildings.
  • Monitor the site Building Automation System as required to assist in troubleshooting.

Education:

  • Ability to read and comprehend drawings and schematics of electric, mechanical, and structural systems at a level normally acquired through the completion of High School.
  • Knowledge or ability to learn HVAC equipment operation to include centrifugal chillers, pneumatic and electrical control systems, electric heat pump, chemical treatment of HVAC water systems, etc. as normally acquired through completion of a four (4) year technical or on the job training program.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Hiring range depending on experience $53,850.74 To 61,928.35 Annually
