VCU Health System Dietetic Internship Program Clinical Coordinator (VCU Health) in Richmond, Virginia


  • The chief objective of this position:

  • To plan, implement and evaluate dietetic intern activities in the Food and Nutrition Management arena, including hospital food service, and food and nutrition programs within school, university, sports, wellness and community settings. To assist Director in overall internship program planning, implementation and evaluation to ensure a high quality program which meets accreditation standards. To work closely with the food and nutrition management team and rotation preceptors to facilitate intern learning. To promote the internship throughout the hospital and the community, to include assisting in the establishment and maintenance of partnerships.

  • Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire:

  • Registered as a Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics

  • Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment:

  • Maintenance of Registered Dietitian status with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics

  • Experience REQUIRED:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Registered Dietitian

  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in nutrition and dietetics education

  • Education/training REQUIRED:

  • Masters Degree in Dietetics or related field from an accredited program
