Job/Position DescriptionTraining and Development Assistant performs entry-level training work. Maintainsrefresher training records and compiles reports on training programs. Maintainsstudent registrations and coordinates training locations for refresher and specialtyclasses. Presents courses during new employee orientation and refreshersessions to ensure compliance with minimum training requirements andcompetency on the job. Assists in development of curriculum and preparation ofother training materials related to staff training and development. Other duties asassigned. Works under close supervision with minimal latitude for the use ofinitiative and independent judgment. Prefer experience working directly with adevelopmentally disabled population. Essential Job FunctionsAttends Work on a regular basis and may be required to work a specific shift schedule or, at times, even a rotating schedule, extended shift and/or overtime in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned.Conducts facility training including new employee orientation, refresher training, and continuing education using approved training curriculum and procedures, audiovisual equipment, and practice models.Assists by teaching PMAB, CPR, ANE, and Defensive Driving. Prefer experience as a platform trainer or teaching experience, curriculum development.Able to lift, bend, stoop, kneel, and extend arms and legs.Performs complex file management. Manages incoming paperwork, filing, copying, and storage.Will maintain employee training record data, including but not limited to: posting of completed training into PeopleSoft Training Information Management System (TIMS), running training data reports, entering employee training assignments and maintaining employee training files.Skill in the use of standard office equipment and software.Other duties as assigned include but are not limited to actively participating and/or serving in a supporting role to meet the agencyand#146;s obligations for disaster response and/or recovery or Continuity of Operations (COOP) activation. Such participation may require an alternate shift pattern assignment and/or location.Registrations, Licensure Requirements or Certifications Certifications:Must possess valid Texas driverand#146;s license or obtain it no later than 90 days after hire date. Applicants with an out-of-state driverand#146;s license must provide an original certified driving record from the state of driving licensure. Eligible driving record required based on HHSC Fleet Management policy.
