FORT BEND COUNTY MUNICIPAL Building Maintenance Worker II in Richmond, Texas

[Responsibilities Delivers library materials daily between branches and delivers items from vendors. Loads/unloads bins from vehicle at multiple locations. Uses ticketing system to maintain record of repairs. Performs mechanical, electrical, plumbing and carpentry repairs as required. (Changing light bulbs and ballasts are a requirement, etc.) Paints facilities. Assembles and moves furniture and equipment as needed. Maintains routine check on general conditions of buildings assigned. Picks-up trash in the parking lot of all branches on a daily basis. Keeps janitors supply closet filled. Sets up meeting rooms before library-sponsored programs and takes down after completion of programs. Troubleshoots and resets fire suppression system. Requisitions materials and makes emergency repair purchases for the library. Maintains and monitors all adjustments to HVAC energy management system. Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers. Qualifications High School Diploma/GED; One year related job experience. Basic knowledge of air conditioning, electrical and plumbing repairs. Good verbal and written communication skills, good interpersonal skills, along with the ability to deal effectively with people. Valid Drivers License.and reliable transportation to pick up supplies.
