At CPCCo, located in Richland, Washington, we are working to provide a sustainable future for the historic Hanford area through the protection of the Columbia River and the remediation of the Central Plateau. To achieve our mission, we need exceptionally talented, innovative, and driven people to help us reduce risks on the Hanford Site by removing some of the most hazardous waste streams and facilities in the Department of Energy (DOE) complex. Internships are a great way to immerse yourself in CPCCo's culture to see if we're a good fit for you and your career goals. The work will be technical in nature and related to the degree the intern is pursuing. The intern should be able to walk away from the internship with valuable learning that applies to their chosen degree. This internship is in Richland, WA; the work site may be within the city limits or outside on the Hanford site. A few of the Projects the intern may support are the following: - Support Assessor with Work Control Assessments on the procedures/processes/implementation. - Support Facilities by performing Preventative Maintenance Coordination, Scheduling, and Expediting. Under direct supervision, the Work Controls Summer Intern will support Work Control and Operations programs doing the following: *Interfacing with project POCs in person and through email, phone, correspondence *Creating and distributing Lessons Learned *Performing document reviews *Supporting company safety programs *Supporting program meetings *Reporting and generating data for metrics *Intermediate level use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word for daily task completion *Collaborating with Subject Matter Experts for problem solving and continuous improvement *Effectively communicating with peers in resolution of issues *Performing assessments *Data entry in Job Control System *Updating of training material Basic Qualifications * At least 18 years of age. * An active full-time student during the two semesters/quarters immediately preceding the assignment. * Maintain an overall GPA of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale) during their college enrollment. * Able to work full-time (40 hours) during the internship experience. The internship typically provides up to 12-weeks of business experience during the summer break. * Actively enrolled in a full-time degree program. * Currently pursing a degree in Project Management, Construction Management, or similar discipline. Compensation & Benefits Hourly rate of $18.20 plus an additional $4.41 health & welfare adder in accordance with the Service Contract Act.
