Role Summary:

The Scrum Master/Agile coach at GESA credit Union will be responsible for managing and coordinating the Software Development Agile Scrums. This individual will be responsible for running daily standups, coordinating backlog grooming sessions, coordinating sprint planning meetings, and running sprint retrospectives. This individual will also work closely with Product Owners to ensure that User Stories and other features are delivered on time. This individual will also work to coach others on agile best practice and be a champion for agile principles in the organization.

 

What You Will Be Doing:

  1. Work with Project Managers, Product Owners, Business Owners, and others to ensure that the product backlogs are kept up to date.
  2. Lead at least one Product's Agile Sprint ceremonies, such as daily standups, sprint planning, and sprint retrospectives.
  3. Coach others in the organization about Agile best practices.
  4. Proactively address and resolve impediments, conflicts, and issues to ensure smooth project delivery.
  5. Collaborate with Product Owners and other stakeholders to assist in the identification and prioritization of features and enablers for upcoming sprints.
  6. Maintain knowledge of current and evolving technology, evaluate changes in or new technology, and provide management with information relevant to new technologies (hardware, software, or services) that could be beneficial.
  7. Complete work accurately and on time.
  8. Effectively analyzes and leverages empirical data (i.e., metrics) to continuously improve quality, transparency, delivery predictability, and organizational decision-making.
  9. Conducts periodic maturity assessments to identify leading practices and opportunity areas to support the continued growth of a team.
  10. Coordinate with the other managers and team leads to ensure proper resource allocation to each sprint.
  11. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

     

The Scrum Master position has the ability to work fully remote from Washington, Oregon or Idaho.

 

About You:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, troubleshooting skills, and problem-solving skills.

Experience in an agile and scrum environment.

Experience writing user stories for developers.

Ability to analyze information and recommend achievable process improvements to management.

Self-motivated and able to organize, prioritize and manage multiple complex tasks.
