Primary Responsibilities:

  • Under minimum supervision, plans, sets up and performs testing of product units and components according to established procedures.

  • Will also maintain, calibrate, and repair electronic and mechanical test equipment and electrical inspection equipment.

  • May be required to explain the general operation of test equipment to other personnel and may instruct lower grade operators on procedures or product testing.

  • Works from procedures, schematics, and blueprints. Must have knowledge of product performance specifications and must evaluate and troubleshoot the design of a product in conformance to standards.

  • Must understand the principles of operation of all standard test equipment.

  • May become involved with engineers on problems which cannot meet specification standards.

  • May be responsible for writing instructions for repair work or writing reasons for rejection of a unit for referral by engineers.

  • May be required to perform rough work incidental to the modification, maintenance, or repair of test equipment.

  • Required to perform complex troubleshooting and must have a good working knowledge of electronic products and testing equipment.

  • Must be familiar with applicable workmanship standards.

  • This is a 100% onsite position.

  • This is a 2nd shift position.

Qualifications/Experience Needed :

  • HS Diploma. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience is required.

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

  • Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements

  • Must pass the Certified Electronics Technician Associate test from Electronics Technicians Association - International.

  • Must be willing and able to work 2nd shift.

  • Must have ability to read complex electronic schematics, analyze circuits and follow written work instructions

  • Must be able to lift/carry equipment or parts up to 35 lbs.
