Honeywell Lead Advanced BMS Technician (HVAC) in Richardson, Texas

As a Lead Advanced Field Service Technician - HVAC Automation here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in providing technical expertise and leadership in field service operations for HVAC automation systems. With your 8 years of experience in HVAC automation, you will ensure the successful implementation and maintenance of our systems, while delivering exceptional customer service and satisfaction. You will report directly to our Field Service Manager and you'll work out of our Dallas, TX location on an onsite work schedule. In this role, you will impact the efficiency and performance of HVAC automation systems, contributing to the overall success of our customers' operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and supervise a team of field service technicians, providing guidance and support in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of HVAC automation systems.

  • Conduct on-site visits to customer locations, ensuring the successful implementation and operation of HVAC automation systems.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, both remotely and on-site, to minimize system downtime and ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement solutions for customer needs, including system upgrades and enhancements.

  • Provide training and mentorship to field service technicians, ensuring their continuous development and growth.

  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in HVAC automation technology, and provide recommendations for improvement.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 8-10 years of experience in building automation systems

  • 5 years of experience with complex building systems. Troubleshooting, PC, and Networking knowledge.

  • 3 years of experience in technical field leadership/employee and customer training

  • Valid driver’s license.

WE VALUE

  • Expert knowledge of HVAC systems, control systems, mechanical system operation, and building facilities.

  • Expert network and integration abilities to be able to work on multiple protocols like BACnet, modbus, OPC, LON, etc.

  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings and diagrams.

  • Expert diagnostics and troubleshooting skills
