JOB SUMMARY

DFA has an immediate job opening for a dependable CDL-A delivery truck driver to operate a tractor-trailer safely and efficiently and manually unload/deliver various ice cream products to customer locations on an assigned route schedule. This position is based out of our depot in Richardson,TX . Our drivers build relationships with each customer using their positive, friendly attitude and become familiar with their operations to meet needs and expectations.

COMPENSATION:

  • $30.57 per hour with a 40-hour guarantee*

  • Overtime applies after 40 hours

  • Paid Bi-Weekly

SCHEDULE:

  • The schedule for this opening will vary, depending on the route. Our drivers typically drive 1-2 routes in town and 1 route that requires a 2-night layover.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred

  • 3 years related experience in food-service industry preferred (multiple stops, customer interaction, touch-freight)

  • Valid Class-A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record

  • 21+ years of age

  • Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings including drug, background and criminal checks

  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English

  • Ability to push, pull and lift up to 55 pounds

  • Willing to work flexible hours, including overtime as required, occasional weekends and holidays
