About the Role:

As a CBRE Accounting Analyst, you will perform routine clerical accounting duties within a fast-paced department while adhering to established standards. This person will join like-minded professionals who are continually focused on sharpening their skills and advancing in their profession.

This job is part of the General Accounting job function, reporting to the Accounting Director. They are responsible for the development and day-to-day maintenance of accounting processes and procedures.

What You’ll Do:

  • Claim and record wire receipts from customers.

  • Review sub accounts on Balance Sheet and Income Statement for Costa Rica.

  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliation and revenue entry for Costa Rica.

  • Coordinate and follow up with Project Managers and Account Managers on open timecards, approvals, and corrections

  • Participate in month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliation of accounts, and coding of accounts payable and expense reports for intercompany.

  • Prepare expense reports for project related expenses, Per Diems, and travel related expense reports.

  • Track Costa Rica fixed assets and create purchase orders for contractors.

  • Update the monthly cash flow for Costa Rica.

  • Prepare accounting related documents for external accounting firm.

  • Submit weekly payments to vendors.

  • Send proof of payments weekly.

  • Record monthly payroll entry.

  • Participate in monthly invoicing process.

  • Have some knowledge of standard principles with limited practical experience in applying them.

  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.

  • Impact the quality of own work.

  • Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.

  • Exchange straightforward information, ask questions, and check for understanding.

What You’ll Need:

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with up to 3 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

  • Experience with accounting software and applying basic accounting/financial principles; specifically Peoplesoft, Dynamics SL or Dynamics Business Central. Aptitude for learning new systems strongly preferred.

  • Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.

  • Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

  • Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset. Attention to detail.

  • Intermediate math skills. Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
