We are looking for aProject Controls Specialistto work in ourRhome, TX facility. The Project controls specialist will be managing the cost and centralized schedule of multiple Engineering Projects by providing updates and support to project managers to ensure budget and timeline requirements are met. If you are an expert planner who can organize a robust schedule and maintain complex budgeting information this role will challenge your collaboration and organization strengths in a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

Support the project manager in maintaining project plan to budget for Costing and Scheduling:

  • Maintain Microsoft Project updates with accurate reporting of daily activities, cost tracking, and budget management by working closely with Project managers and engineering teams
    • Regularly communicate the progress of purchasing, goods receipts, and tracking material
    • Track lead times on inbound parts and equipment
    • Organize inbound packages
    • Support process improvement of goods received process

``` - Manage Engineering purchase orders via accounting systems - Generate project forecasts by collaborating with Project Managers - Create requests for proposals and manage bid tabs, ensuring accuracy, clarity of description, and pricing - Review new requests to ensure material quantities are in alignment with costs budgeted - Obtaining multiple bids request from vendors and subcontractors, and verifying the accuracy - Support future project estimating through tracking of historical data and past completed projects - Analyze project cost to the budget

Requirements:

  • College Degree required experience in lieu of degree will be considered
  • 3-5 years' Experience working on EPC firms, engineering projects or construction projects preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel Spreadsheets including pivot tables, and ERP systems
  • Strong cost reporting and analytical skills required
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision
  • High integrity and work ethic
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and well organized
