SOS International LLC Sr. Security Manager in Reston, Virginia

Overview

SOSi is seeking an experienced Senior Security Manager to work at the Reston, VA, location with occasional travel to Vienna, VA, and other SOSi sites, supporting a range of classified programs. The Senior Security Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing security policies and procedures in coordination with the SOSi Vice President of Corporate Security, as well as handle various personnel, physical, contract and information security requirements in accordance with 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM), Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), and SAP activities to ensure compliance with applicable requirements.

Essential Job Duties

  • Establish and maintain successful working relationships with government and internal customers.

  • Act as an advocate for the security program, using sound communication expertise and work with senior level managers to accomplish missions.

  • Support multiple federal agencies with varying security standards and procedures, utilizing the NISPOM, ICDs, DoDM 5205.07 and other applicable directives, policies and procedures set forth by the DoD and Intelligence Community.

  • Maintain and conduct inspections for SCIF, SAPF and Restricted Areas in preparation for security inspections.

  • Manage employee badge process, access control systems, surveillance equipment and other security technologies to ensure proper functioning and effectiveness.

  • Responsible for all physical access control processes, responses to alarms, on-site incidents and acts as required.

  • Initiate and coordinate facility work and repair orders.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on physical security, conducts physical security surveys, facility threat assessments, risk analyses and provide guidance and recommendations, where appropriate.

  • Provide and oversee construction requirements for new classified areas to include SCIFs, SAPFs, and Restricted Areas.

  • Coordinate Co-Utilization Agreements (CUAs) and Joint Use Agreements (JUAs) between internal and external customers.

  • Coordinate accreditation and reaccreditation of classified IS Systems with ISSM in accordance with customer policies and regulations.

  • Manage the corporate Insider Threat Program by maintaining SOPs, developing training materials, and conducting quarterly meetings with the Insider Threat working group.

  • Conduct security education and training to include security indoctrinations, debriefings, pre/post travel briefings and annual refresher briefings as necessary.

  • Assist with the development, implementation and monitoring of security policies and procedures.

  • Process SCI and SAP nominations for personnel supporting various efforts.

  • Investigate security violations and submit required reports to the government.

  • Document and maintain personnel security files and rosters.

  • Maintain oversight of COMSEC account and material.

  • Assisting in writing, reviewing, and revising security volumes.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • Active in scope TS/SCI.

  • 7 years of related security experience with a bachelor's or 11 years of experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.

  • 5 years of experience working within SCI and SAP programs.

  • Ability to obtain SAP access.

  • Self-starter who can work independently and manage own schedule, travel, and workflow.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Active in scope TS/SCI with Poly.

Work Environment

  • Office Location is Reston, VA, with occasional travel to Vienna, VA, and other SOSi sites.

  • Working conditions as normal for an office environment.

  • Requires periods of non-traditional hours including consecutive nights or weekends when necessary.
