ICF Senior HR ServiceNow Architect (Remote) in Reston, Virginia

Position Overview:

We're looking for a Senior ServiceNow Architect to support our clients in integrating HR systems onto the ServiceNow platform. This role is crucial within the development team, overseeing ServiceNow HRSD platform implementation, technical strategy, and external system integration. Your main responsibilities include understanding project technical guidelines, guiding development teams toward best practices, and aligning the ServiceNow application with stakeholder business needs. As an architect, you'll collaborate with development and IT partners to build, document, and test ServiceNow HRSD, providing continuous technical feedback to the development team.

This role serves as a bridge between technical teams and the client’s IT community, gathering, clarifying, and translating IT requirements into documentation and conceptual design. Within an Agile team framework, you'll contribute to detailed stories and epics, ensuring alignment with acceptance criteria in collaboration with product owners and ICF’s technology team. Additionally, you'll actively engage in meetings with clients and internal technical and operational teams, including change management discussions.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior ServiceNow Architect, you'll hold a pivotal technical leadership role within our ServiceNow Practice and across our client base. Your primary responsibilities involve leading the design, implementation, and delivery of intricate ServiceNow and cross-technology solutions. This role combines deep technical expertise with leadership skills to drive project success, mentor junior team members, and facilitate growth in technical expertise and service revenue. Responsibilities include:

  • Solution Design and Architecture: Lead the design of scalable ServiceNow solutions aligned with client requirements and platform capabilities.

  • Technical Consultation: Serve as a trusted advisor on ServiceNow capabilities, customization, and integration best practices.

  • Implementation Support: Oversee solution implementation, conduct code reviews, and ensure adherence to best practices.

  • Integration and Automation: Design seamless integrations with third-party systems for process automation and data consistency.

  • Performance Optimization: Identify and address system bottlenecks, enhancing overall performance.

  • Quality Assurance: Develop testing strategies ensuring deliverables meet quality standards.

  • Resource Management: Collaborate to ensure skilled resources are allocated appropriately.

  • Project Management: Work with project managers to maintain project scope and timelines.

  • Security and Compliance: Design and implement security measures ensuring compliance with best practices.

  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Create technical documentation and foster knowledge sharing within the team.

  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on ServiceNow advancements and industry trends.

  • Client Relationships: Understand client needs, provide guidance, and exceed expectations.

  • Mentorship and Coaching: Foster growth within the ServiceNow talent pool.

  • Strategic Relationships: Facilitate collaboration between stakeholders for mutual benefit.

  • Business Strategy: Drive business growth through innovative solutions and client engagement.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors' in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

  • 5+ years implementing or architecting ServiceNow solutions

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator plus three or more additional mainline certifications:

Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) – Human Resources

CIS – Customer Service Management

CIS – IT Service Management

CIS – Discovery

CIS – Service Mapping

CIS – Application Portfolio Management

CIS – Software Asset Management

CIS – Hardware Asset Management

  • US Citizen due to federal contract requirements

  • Ability to obtain U.S. government public trust clearance

  • MUST RESIDE IN THE United States (U.S.) and the work MUST BE PERFORMED in the United States (U.S.), as this work is for a federal contract and laws do apply

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience (>480 hours each) implementing or architecting 24 or more ServiceNow applications

  • ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect

Professional Skills:

  • Vast experience across numerous parts of the ServiceNow platform and experience with commonly integrated third-party technologies

  • Excellence in scripting languages (JavaScript, GlideScript) and other relevant languages

  • Excellence in designing and leading complex solutions and integrations

  • Excellent understanding of system architecture and design principles.

  • Excellent technical leadership skills and a hunger to take on additional responsibilities.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to deliver technical solutions simply and succinctly.

  • Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking abilities

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills

  • Exceptional understanding of ServiceNow best practices and industry trends

  • Excellent conflict resolution skills to mitigate risks, resolve issues, and ensure timely and accurate delivery.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is:

$112,513.00 - $231,440.00
