The National Security Sector at Leidos is hiring for a Principal/Senior DevOps Engineer to lead an agile, cloud-based data, and analytics platform contract. You will lead the team in Agile methodologies to deliver the solution, emphasizing the frequent, incremental release of system software, features, and updates in many small deployments rather than in fewer, larger releases. This role is expected to be on-site at a Leidos facility in Reston, VA with travel to various government sites in the Washington Metro Area. This opportunity is contingent upon contract award.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Guide the team in designing, building, testing, and deploying changes to existing software

  • Design, build, and improve a set of team owned apps, services, or components

  • Write clear, scalable code and design documentation

  • Maintain and improve Azure Cloud Infrastructure

What does Leidos need from me?

  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance (Background Investigation)

  • BS degree and 12 to 15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10 to 13 years of prior relevant experience

  • Five years of experience with Agile IT product management and delivery (Agile delivery experience must be within the last year), Agile Methodologies and Best Practices

  • DevOps tools experience including GitLab, Confluence, and Jira

  • Object-oriented programming languages (Python, Java, etc.)

  • Python Library Development

  • Microsoft Azure or AWS Cloud Environment

  • Databases (relational or NoSQL)

  • Python, Spark, and/or SQL Scala Programming

  • Databricks

Favorable if you have:

  • Agile Project Management, IT Project Management

  • Data Analysis, Data Engineering, Data Science

  • Decision Analysis and Support

  • Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) Experience

  • Evaluation Methods

  • Quality Assurance

  • Machine Learning (e.g., regression, classification, deep learning, unsupervised learning) and/or Machine Learning Model Development

  • Business processes and tools utilized in a federal program of U.S. Government

  • Producing deliverables in alternate formats including Microsoft 365, SharePoint

Pay Range:

Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00
