In Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) solutions, you ll help develop systems that sense, control, exploit and disseminate actionable information to warfighters supporting a variety of missions.

BAE Systems is looking for a highly motivated junior cross domain solutions engineer. The Cross Domain Engineer position entails working with the business in obtaining technical requirements and designing network security solutions to meet customer needs along with installing and maintaining the enterprise or tactical cross domain solutions across the customer infrastructure.

The Security Professional will be responsible for and expected to plan, engineer, configure, implement, and troubleshoot security infrastructure necessary to secure large, complex enterprise networks. In addition, the Network Security Engineer provides day to day support of network-based hardware and software, implementation plans for these items, the ability to take the lead or supporting role on special projects as assigned.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to maintaining, upgrading, monitoring and tuning the LAN/WAN security environment. This job is both network security and customer domain/program focused. The candidate must also be able to obtain a DoD clearance as well.

Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship status.

Typical Education & Experience

Typically a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

Computer Science or Engineeringdegree by early summer 2019

Ability to attain Secret clearance

Demonstrated knowledge of Cyber Security and enterprise Cyber Securitysolutions

Preferred Skills and Education

CISSP, CEH, COMP TIA, Network certs are a big plus.

Ability to apply security principles and mechanisms to the systems and enterprise system designs.

Knowledge / expertise in systems security engineering, including requirements analysis and system architecture design.

Subject Matter Expert (SME) for core network cross domain systems and fundamental understanding of OSI stack.

Knowledge of network IA devices inherent in security architectures.

Knowledge of defensive cyber operations.

Develop plans to safeguard computer files against unauthorized modification, destruction or disclosure.

Understand data transmissions used to conceal confidential information during transmit.

Experience with security design processes, defense-in-depth, information domains.

Modify security files to incorporate new software, correct errors, and change user access status.

Perform risk assessments and tests on running data processing activities and security measures.

Educate workers about computer security and promote security awareness and security protocols.

Understanding of fundamental cloud computing concepts.

Experience with Information Assurance concepts and processes within the Federal government.

Knowledge of and experience with Federal security regulations, standards, and processes
