SOS International LLC Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) in Reston, Virginia

Overview

SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking an experienced Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) to support a U.S. Government program. The CSSO will be responsible for developing and implementing security policies and procedures in coordination with the Program Manager and the Vice President of Corporate Security. They will manage personnel, physical and information security requirements for SCI activities.

Essential Job Duties

  • Support multiple federal agencies with varying security standards and procedures, utilizing the NISPOM, ICDs, DoDM 5205.07 and other applicable directives, policies and procedures set forth by the DoD and Intelligence Community

  • Maintain SCIF and SAPF accreditations to include transference of cognizance (TOC) to appropriate Cognizant Security Agency (CSA)

  • Conduct security education and training

  • Assist with the development, implementation and monitoring of security policies and procedures, to include the insider threat program

  • Provide security indoctrinations, debriefings, pre/post travel briefings and annual refresher briefings as necessary

  • Coordinate co-utilization agreements for facilities

  • Responsible for ensuring pre-screening of candidates occurs to mitigate risk to the government, and that accurate paperwork and information is submitted to the customers

  • Process SCI and SAP nominations for personnel supporting various efforts

  • Investigate security violations and submit required reports to the government

  • Document and maintain personnel security files and rosters

  • Maintain oversight of COMSEC account and material

  • Establish and maintain successful working relationships with government and internal customers

  • Act as an advocate for the security program, using sound communication expertise and work with senior level managers to accomplish missions

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Responsible for facility access control support, intrusion detection, safes/locks, hardware, and doors

  • Initiate and coordinate facility work orders/repairs to ensure perimeter control is secure

  • Coordinate accreditation and reaccreditation of classified IS Systems with ISSM in accordance with U.S.G policies and regulations

  • Maintains SCIF / SAPF visitor control functions

  • Conduct SCIF / SAPF self-inspections in preparation for security audits

  • Prepare written SOPs and update annually for IC and SAP customer

Minimum Requirements

  • Active in scope Top Secret with SCI (TS/SCI) clearnace with Polygraph (Poly)

  • Ability to obtain SAP Access

  • 5+ years of experience as a CSSO

  • Experience with Special Access Programs required

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Work Environment

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.

  • Requires periods of non-traditional hours including consecutive nights or weekends when necessary
