Requisition Summary This position is responsible for evaluating and executing an inventory plan in a vendor managed inventory environment for an assigned group of truck dealers, product lines and parts. Salary will be dependent upon experience with inventory, leadership, and project management. Success in this role will hinge on your curiosity, ability to work well in ambiguity, attention to detail, passion for learning, and adept communication skills. Job Functions / Responsibilities Evaluate and optimize an inventory plan for each assigned truck dealer and all their stocking parts through the following: Analyze and adjust forecast and replenishment parameters proactively to meet Turn and Availability goals Coordinate stock/non-stock/scrap return requests for assigned dealers Coordinate with MDI dealers and setup system to implement new product line, new model pre-stock and additional dealer locations Plan promotion inventory for assigned dealers' monthly and seasonal promotion plan Analyze dealer inventory position, metrics, and order methods, to recommend corrective action within the supply chain Coordinate activities with marketing, sales, administration, customers, and suppliers as necessary to build exceptional customer relations and meet team goals Maintain the integrity of the system files by updating system data, replenishment and forecasting parameters, dealer promotion files and reviewing exceptions Understand customer business problems and develop inventory and forecasting parameters to solve those problems Communicate issues, progress, and results for the MDI program with other departments and management Help develop processes and procedures, to support software implementation and changes Assist with the coordination of MDI dealer training clinics and other MDI events Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or analytical fieldrequired; MBA desired. 1 year ofexperience working in the supply chain field. Advanced MS Office Skills, specifically MS Excel. Query, database management, and SQL experience preferred. Team player with excellent communication skills. Inventory control, forecasting or product distribution experience preferred. Show exceptional initiative in understanding customer business problems and developing inventory and forecasting parameters to solve those problems. Warehouse Planning / Purchasing experience preferred. Advanced PC skills; experience with Six Sigma and Manugistics/JDA a plus. Excellent interpersonal and issue resolution skills.
