Environmental Specialist Intern Job Locations US-WA-Seattle | US-WA-Renton ID 2024-5753 Category Internships Position Type Intern Division : Name Northwest Employment Status Intern Overview Provide technical input on environmental monitoring and design or construction methods to ensure compliance with environmental specifications or regulatory standards. What you will be doing Audits, analyzes and reports environmental performance to internal and external clients and regulatory bodies. Assists in groundcover applications and soil sampling Aids with erosion control inspections Maintain Erosion and sediment control devices Works with design and construction team advising how to avoid and minimize adverse environmental effects. Carries out impact assessments to identify, assess and reduce the organization's environmental risks and financial costs. Writes environmental reports for supervisor review and leadership presentation. Promotes and raises awareness, at all levels of the organization, of the impact of emerging environmental issues, whether legislative or best practice. Coordinates public hearings and consultations on environmental matters. Participates in environmental education and research. Maintains knowledge of Company's values and strategic plan. Support published corporate policies. Perform additional assignments per management's direction. What we are looking for Environmental Compliance Interns/co-ops are required to be currently enrolled in Environmental Sciences, Ecology, or a similar program at an accredited technical college or university.
