WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

The Systems Administrator, based at our Corporate Headquarters in Reno, Nevada, is a pivotal role in delivering exceptional technical support to our users while monitoring and maintaining our Infrastructure Network Environment and managing our software and applications administration. You will be working in a dynamic team environment in a modern, clean office.

Reporting to our Director of IT, you’ll provide leadership to a talented team of Help Desk Engineers and collaborate with other Systems Administrators within our infrastructure department. You will work with computer users throughout the company and outside vendors.

A highlight of your day to day will include:

  • Enterprise-wide Network Infrastructure Maintenance: Maintaining physical and virtualized server environments, storage, switches, firewalls, and related peripherals and network services. Maintaining VLAN configurations/additions, VoIP phone support, firewall, and VPN configurations, IP address allocation, and adhering to best practices of network security.

  • Software and Applications Administration: Administering and monitoring active directory, office productivity application suites, asset management applications, VoIP software applications, security and network monitoring applications.

  • Technical Support Solutions: Supporting complex customer service/support activities; making recommendations for future upgrades; working with end-users to define requirements and designing technical solutions to assist; ensuring solutions are aligned with changing business needs.

  • User Collaboration: Working with users to improve/fix operational issues; preparing users by designing, documenting, and conducting training; providing reference material and support.

  • Team Collaboration: Collaborating with the infrastructure team to design, develop, analyze, modify, and test computer systems and programs based on users and system specifications. Preparing evaluations of software or hardware and recommending improvements or upgrades.

  • Project Implementations: Once a project has been vetted and approved, you will be in charge of the execution of project implementation plans, vendor coordination, change control, and communication of updates to the Director of IT.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

You’re enthusiastic and motivated in a fast-paced environment. You have demonstrated knowledge of IT security practices and a commitment to maintaining a secure IT environment. You’re a lifelong learner with a combination of formal education (Bachelor’s degree - BSCIS, BSCS or BSCE, Microsoft Certification,CCNA, CISM, CISA, CISSP, PMPpreferred) and 5 years of solid on-the-job experience includingCitrix, VMWare, AHV and Cisco experience (preferred).

If youpossess a strong working knowledge of basic computer hardware, including Desktops, Laptops, Printers, networks, routing, switching, firewall, security in depth, principles of CIA, AAA, SDLC, PMP, and Defense in Depth,we want to hear from you.
