[[The Desert Research Institute and Nevada Robotics is hiring a temporary technologist to serve as an Office Administrative Assistant I for DRI Nevada Robotics - a STEM education program. The assistant will be responsible for tasks such as shipping, receiving, and unboxing orders, organizing the workshop, charging robots/drones, updating equipment / training supplies, printing, laminating, running errands as needed, etc. The assistant will also help to support the Robot and Drone Lending Libraries which includes delivery and pick up, inventory, and setting up new equipment. The assistant will participate in some STEM events including family STEM nights, teacher trainings, and drone and robot competitions 1-2 Saturdays per month.

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite programs
  • Ability to work independently and maintain responsibility for individual work

  • Bachelor's degree in education, STEM education, computer science, or related field
  • Experience as an administrative assistant in education or related field
