This Anesthesia Tech opportunity is full time at 40 hours per week, offers full benefits and a convenient schedule. This dynamic individual will maintains a smooth flow of anesthetic cases, in a timely manner, by assisting the anesthesiologist before, during, and after induction. Has a working knowledge of anesthetic drugs and agents. Is able to pre-test the anesthesia machines and reports deficiency to appropriate manufacturing representative and leadership. Upon request, is able to prepare appropriate equipment necessary for arterial lines, Swan Ganz, and central lines. Is available to assist in room turnover as required.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Maintains PAR levels of anesthesia supplies; orders supplies as needed; communicates supply issues to anesthesia personnel.

  • Reviews the OR schedule for special equipment needs.

  • Sets up OR for the anesthesiologist. Calibrates monitoring devices

  • Assists the anesthesiologist with preparation of anesthesia equipment as needed. Helps with turnover of the OR.

    Qualifications

  • High School graduate or equivalent.

  • Associates or BS degree in a healthcare field preferred.

  • ASATT certification required within one year of hire.

  • Current BLS certification.
