Exciting Opportunity for a Product Sales Manager

Working as part of a dedicated team, you will be working to win exciting and complex projects within our Energy and Industrial markets for Howden’s Turbo Compressor Technology. Typical focus applications will be within traditional energy and critical industrial processes such as Sulphur Recovery/Clean Fuels, Non-ferrous Metals Refining, and Industrial Fermentation.

What will you do?

  • You will be responsible for leading the bid process and presenting Commercial and Technical Proposals for our Turbo Compressor Package solutions and will work closely with the Proposal Engineers as well as the other disciplines of Engineering, Project Management, Quality, Procurement and Operations.

  • You’ll be involved in prospecting new business as well as focusing on expanding relationships with existing customers

  • You will support and foster a winning culture within the team and wider Turbo Value Stream

What do you bring?

To be successful you must have …

  • 5 year’s relevant industry experience – e.g. Energy / Industrial markets.

  • Sales experience in high value and high specification businesses.

  • Proven ability to identify opportunities and secure high priority customer projects.

  • Team ethos, highly collaborative approach.

  • High degree of commercial shrewdness and understanding.

  • Ability to pro-actively solve problems and to think laterally, whilst maintaining project deadlines and commitments

It’s a bonus if you have (but not essential) ..

  • Degree educated in an engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.

  • Knowledge of Air Handling equipment (e.g. Compressors) preferred.

  • Knowledge of rotating machinery markets including EPCs, end-users and process licensors.

  • Experience in Project Terms & Conditions.
