SAIC Program Analyst - Air Force Weather in REMOTE WORK, District Of Columbia

Description

SAIC is seeking a Program Analyst for a new and exciting program supporting the Air Force Directorate of Weather and Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC).

(This is fully remote role and does not have an onsite requirement.)

This position will integrate with AFLCMC/HBAW and provide technical expertise as input to a government led team of contractors and government personnel planning for migration of weather and environmental data storage and application functionality into the AFW VPC and Agile DevSecOps environment. These efforts will execute the HBAW migration plan that will be coordinated with the AFW VPC Center of Excellence engineering and migration teams, with identification of inter-dependencies of functionality and schedules. This effort will support AFLCMC/HBAW and AFW with the enterprise migration into the AFW VPC. The SMEs will assist with the initial enterprise migration into the Weather Data Analysis Increment 5 and WARPSpeed Programs, and other programs as required.

This project provides software development and data analysis, as directed, to Air Force Directorate of Weather and Air Force Life Cycle Management Center's (AFLCMC) effort to migrate data, software, and operations to the Air Force Weather (AFW) Virtual Private Cloud (VPC). The Air Force Weather Program Office (AFLCMC/HBAW) is responsible for managing the enterprise architecture and engineering technical solutions to address capability gaps, and the development, sustainment, and modernization of the full AFW enterprise.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Reviews applicable AFLCMC Program Office contracts and General Terms and Conditions, DoD/DAF policies, AF agreements, Security Classification Guides and the Guide to Information Discipline. Summarizes and provides reports on applicability to the AF Weather cloud migration effort.

  • Provides recommendations on changes to the same.

  • Drafts and staffs updated documents as required.

  • Maps, tabulates, or otherwise organizes and lists all data sources (inputs) all data consumers (outputs), and the access restrictions on them.

  • Coordinates with AF Weather Program teams including but not limited to WARPspeed, WDA Increment 4, and WDA Inc 5 Agile Center of Excellence Teams

  • Calculates and automates OSD SW Program metrics.

  • Assesses metrics for inclusion in Inc 5 Value Assessment and defines and recommends processes to implement metrics collection.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and five years of experience in a related field; or relevant years of experience in lieu of degree.

  • Must be a US Citizen and currently possess an active Secret security clearance.

  • Experience working with DoD organizations.

  • Experience working in an Agile/DevOps environment and an understanding of government cloud environments.

  • Demonstrated ability to present briefings to senior level DoD officials in both prepared briefings and/or in ad hoc discussions.

  • Employee must possess high-level collaboration and technical communication skills, to include ability to use Microsoft Office products (MS TEAMS, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel).

Target salary range: $75,001 - $100,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
