BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Customer Solutions Team Manager, the Inventory Management Specialists (IMS-OEM) would be responsible for successfully implementing the various OEM inventory management solutions offered by MSC/OEM BU promoting a best-in-class experience for all stakeholders. This includes driving solutions, installations, data collection, solution diagnostics, maintenance, and training. This position is expected to focus on advanced solution selling and implementation tasks.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Collaborates with all MSC/OEM BU Sales Teams to enable explosive sales growth through OEM Solutions.

· Understand and implement solutions to help our customers manage OEM items.

· Partners with the MSC/OEM BU on OEM opportunities to make sure customers’ needs are met with thorough discoveries/solution recommendations to help grow the OEM customer and able to support sustainable growth opportunities and present these findings to customers.

· Work to shorten the implementation timeline and to provide new solutions to our customers to provide additional value and grow new/existing customer solutions.

· Work with customers on detailed customer discover of OEM items and provide detailed analysis to reduce bottlenecks/reduce takt time/streamline the management/reduce the overall cost of managing OEM item.

· Audits/Optimizations-Audit/Optimize our OEM BU VMI customers for continuous improvement/presenting data analytics/clean organized solutions to help customers manage OEM items.

· Drive proficiencies in Solution Installations/Break Fix/Post Install Support/Supply Chain Optimization.

· Trains/Mentors Solutions Field Support teams on Scanning/Ordering/Continuous Improvements to provide our customers best in class service.

· Represent OEM Solutions to the Sales Teams to foster partnership and trust between the teams.

· Follows all required Salesforce/TDF/P21 protocols for project and time management

· When and where necessary support VMISS delivery and service support operations at existing customer facilities

· Perform detailed discoveries on customer needs, including, but not limited to data collection, process improvement, and cost savings.

· Collaborate with team to provide best in class recommendations and develop sustainable programs.

· Present recommended solutions to the VP Customer Solutions and the CST Manager that address specific customer needs and/or continuous improvements of products and services provided.

· Utilizing key VMI tools and technology setup VMI solutions and services that streamline the VMISS service and support at the customers facilities.

· Be adherent to all safety requirements (PPE, Evacuation, etc.) at customer locations to ensure compliance and a safe work environment.

· Adhere to service level agreements to consistently deliver best-in-class results.

· Mentor customers and VMISS team members on the Solutions based programs and systems that have been implemented.

· After customer installation conduct follow up on site review with all affected personnel

· Trains all in-plant VMI/VMISS team members on the VMI solutions, processes, and procedures

· Follows all required protocols for project and time management to ensure completion as prescribed by the customers.

· Maintains a thorough knowledge of all AIS solutions which include, but may not be limited to, barcoded solutions such as VMI, Vending, CribMaster Software, etc.

· Provide feedback to management for continuous process improvement and cost savings initiatives.

· Supports designated team goals and objectives.

· Maintains regular correspondence with RSMs and AMs regarding the customer accounts and contracts.

· Conducts Ride-a-Longs with the VMISS team members to stay up to date on the current VMI operations within specific customer locations.

· Follows all MSC/OEM BU policies and procedures.

· Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC’s vision and unity of purpose.

· Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

· High School Degree or greater required

· A minimum of five years of customer service is a plus.

· Experience troubleshooting hardware and/or software preferred.

· Knowledge of OEM product lines/services & OEM related experience is required.

· Driver of execution, ability to work through complex situations.

· 3- 5 years Fastener Experience – preferred

SKILLS:

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

· Excellent interpersonal skills required.

· Organizational & time management skills required.

· Problem solving, and situational adaptability skills required.

· Computer literacy & proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet & presentation software required.

· Able to perform physical activities such as lifting to approximately 50 lbs.

· Ability to work in various types of industrial environments.

· Must adhere to customer specific requirements such as wearing hardhats, safety glasses, steel toe shoes.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

· A valid driver’s license.

· The ability to travel 75%, including overnight, is required.

Compensation starting at $55000 - $70000 depending on experience.

The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate’s relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
