WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Fors Marsh's Strategic Creative & Communications business unit is expanding their Media & Engagement practice area and is seeking a Public Relations and Engagement Coordinator. The coordinator will work with PR & Engagement leads to ensure all client deliverables are being delivered on-time. They will also assist the procurement of PR vendors, support file management, note-take during calls, develop media lists and media reports, conduct earned media research (e.g., audits, scans), and support new business. This role will be best suited for someone with an interest in public health campaigns.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports communications projects in the areas of public relations (PR) and earned media.

  • Assists with the research for and preparation of press releases, pitch emails, media advisories, media responses, and other PR copy.

  • Supports the management of media requests.

  • Runs or coordinates media reports using platforms such as Cision and Meltwater and develops activity reports.

  • Monitors news coverage and flags inaccuracies/corrections for managers.

  • Develops media and/or other PR engagement lists.

  • Reinforces brand consistency and style guidance across materials.

  • Supports the facilitation of engagement tactics such as radio media tours, mat releases, or other outreach efforts.

  • Provides general administrative support, such as scheduling meetings, organizing files, and maintaining project documentation.

  • Assists with logistics, on-site support, and organizing special events, including town halls, conference booths, career fairs, virtual meetings, and other similar initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.

  • 1 – 2 years of relevant work experience in public relations, earned media, or marketing and communications

  • Excellent organization, writing, editing, and oral communication skills.

  • Interest in public health campaigns and public relations.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and consent to a full background check due to our federal contract requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using Cision or Meltwater.

  • Agency experience (as intern or another entry level-position).

Salary: $55,000-$60,000

Location: Remote. United States Residents only.
