Leidos Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst in Remote, Virginia

Description

The SMIT Program within the Navy Marine Corps IT Business Area is seeking a FP&A Analyst to support the SMIT program. The individual will be primarily responsible for the NMCI Domain of the SMIT program with over $680M of revenue working with a complex reporting structure and dynamic funding environment. This key role is critical in assisting the team with meeting its financial commitments by providing accurately timely and accurately risk assessed forecast for the NMCI Domain as well as provide overarching FP&A support for the SMIT program. This key individual will have experience in complex financial modeling, detailed financial research, balance sheet, project asset forecasting, loading, and managing the forecast into Insight and subsidiary IWOs.Activities will include influencing cost control initiatives as well as the continued development of planning systems and processes for the NMCI Division and assisting with overall SMIT Forecasting planning processes and initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Prepare pre-close and close reporting for the NMCI Division.

  • Prepare Monthly MOR, Quarterly QBR Packages and Quarterly Forecast Review packages.

  • Responsible for the coordination and support of key weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting deliverables that track and communicate the performance of the business’s key metrics of Backlog, Revenue, Operating Income and Free Cashflow.

  • Support the consolidated planning of all Revenue, EBITDA, Cash and Balance Sheet accounts for the Division.

  • Perform multiple financial cost analyses functions.

  • Ensure that costs are allocated according to established procedures.

  • Apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of prior relevant finance / accounting experience, including FP&A and Program Financial Analysis (PFA).

  • Additional years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Proficient with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

  • The candidate will also heavily utilize the Insight, some familiarity is required.

  • Ability to aggregate and analyze large volumes of data.

  • Candidate must possess excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to aggregate large amounts of data for data analytics and visualization using tools such as Power BI etc.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $108,550.00 - $196,225.00
