Netflix Android Software Engineer (L4) - Discovery & Viewing Experiences in Remote, United States

The Discovery & Viewing Experiences team builds novel product features on Netflix’s industry-leading Android, iOS, and TV apps to help members discover and connect with stories they’ll love. We’re looking for an Android engineer to join the team and help us entertain the world. You will partner with cross-functional teams like consumer insights, product management, experience design, and more to shape and ship user experiences that will delight millions of customers worldwide.

The Job

  • Partner with product, design, and engineering teams to scope and build delightful and accessible user experiences

  • Learn and iterate on product features as we validate our judgment by A/B testing product variants with real customers

  • Leverage technologies like DI/Dagger/Hilt, Jetpack Compose, MvRx, GraphQL, etc., to build product features

  • Shape product and design requirements weighing the tradeoffs between moving fast and building for the long-term

  • Develop code with quality in mind and write automated tests with JVM Unit/Espresso

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $100,000 - $700,000.

Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. We also offer paid leave of absence programs. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off.
