Job Overview:

APTIM has an open position for a EH&S/ESG Software Implementation Specialist to support environmental and ESG software implementation projects across APTIM's commercial client portfolio. This role is a key element of APTIM's growth strategy to expand our environmental, sustainability, resiliency, and climate change consultancy services to our customers. This position will assist clients implementing and/or maintaining third-party EHS/ESG software to manage EHS compliance processes and/or ESG tracking. This work focuses on enterprise-level, multi-media software solutions. The position may involve a variety of activities engaging from solution design, system configuration and testing, data migration, training, and support.

We believe this position is strengthened by having a detailed understanding of the environmental compliance and ESG challenges our clients face. As such, this position may also involve "traditional" environmental and ESG consulting services for our clients.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

This position will primarily serve in a technical role on software implementation and support projects but will have routine interaction with clients and partners. The position will directly execute technical work but may also oversee or coordinate technical work of other staff. Depending on the nature of a particular project, this may include any or all the following:

  • Support solution design activities within the software system. Help to analyze the customer's business needs to determine and document a solution approach. Proactively assess benefits and pitfalls of competing design options. Support development of a detailed solution design.

  • Plan, perform and/or oversee system configuration, report development, and/or data migration activities.

  • Ensure quality delivery through planning, executing, and/or overseeing appropriate system testing, quality checks, and client acceptance testing. Assist in the maintenance of internal guidelines for our technical work.

  • Develop training materials for client staff and/or deliver client training.

  • Provide ongoing client support, system administration, data maintenance, and troubleshooting for deployed client systems.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS in civil/environmental/chemical engineering, environmental science, computer science, or similar degree from accredited program.

  • 4+ years' experience with EHS compliance support, sustainability planning, or information systems implementation.

  • Preferred candidate will have demonstrated experience with one or more of the following: advanced Excel functionality; relational database concepts; database query language (e.g., SQL); Visual Basic or other programming languages/concepts; BI or other reporting tools; and/or software delivery lifecycle concepts.

  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus, but not required.

  • Ability to travel up to 25%.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio.
